1. Why does emotional intelligence make a great leader?

Emotional intelligence challenges our growth mindset and enables us as leaders to seek advice or new ideas from others. This, in turn, ensures that employees are feeling valued and included and creates an enjoyable work environment.


2. What is the most important thing you value in workplace culture and why?
Listening, trust, and teamwork (3 of our values at Premier Community Bank). It’s important for leaders of an organization to actively listen and engage with their employees and cohorts. This creates a sense of belonging for employees. Trust is then built when employees have that sense of belonging and feel included in decisions and changes within the organization. Teamwork is crucial in our day-to-day operations and can create accountability amongst teammates. Celebrating successes and taking responsibility for failures, creating learning opportunities for all.

3. Why should people attend Employ Humanity Leadership Day?

Leadership Day was a day to meet and connect with new individuals, share thoughts and experiences, and learn about all the different facets of emotional intelligence. It was interactive, engaging and inspiring! You leave the day understanding the importance of emotional intelligence equipped with tools to utilize in your personal and professional life.
